Top Ten Things You Need to Know About the SCR

Through a partnership between the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and the Michigan Institute for Educational Management (MIEM), an online secure central registry (SCR) has been implemented for SB-CEU tracking. Any programs offered after January 1, 2010 will be recorded in this system.

1. How do I access the Secure Central Registry?

To access the SCR, go to http://www.solutionwhere.com/mi_sbceu/welcome.asp.

2. Click here to access SCR - Note: Please only create one account

a. Been Here Before?

i. If you have already created an account, enter your email address and password, and click Logon

b. New to This Site?

ii. Click on Create Account

c. Forget Your Password?

i. If you forget your password, click on Email My Password.

ii. Enter the email address that you used to create your account and your password will be emailed to that address

3. Once logged in, review the personal information page and click Save

4. On the next screen, click “To access the Secure Central Registry, click here to continue”

5. All evaluations must be filled out 30 days from the time the attendee receives the first email from the coordinator to be awarded SB-CEUs or they will be forfeited

NOTE: The email address you use for this account MUST match the email address that you use to register for SB-CEU offerings. If not, contact the coordinator who sent you the email to make the correction. If not receiving emails, contact your Technology department to ensure you can receive emails from solutionwhere.com

6. What is a PIC and do I need it?

The Personal Identification Code (PIC) is a number assigned to all educational personnel through the Registry of Educational Personnel (REP). A level 5 user or your HR department will be able to get your PIC number. You do not need this to fill out your personal information page but will be required by fall of 2011. More information will be provided as we get closer to 2011.

7. SCR Fees beginning July 15, 2010

a. Who will be charged the fees? The fees will be charged beginning July 15 to sponsors and attendees.

b. What about attendees uploaded prior to July 15 that have not completed the evaluation? Attendees uploaded prior to July 15 WILL NOT be charged.

c. How is payment made? Payment can be made by credit card or e-check.

d. Who pays the fees? The sponsor may pay the fee for the attendee. Otherwise the attendee pays the fee. Please check the email received to verify who is making payment.

e. When is payment made? The $2.50 fee is made by the attendee after the evaluation is completed. SB-CEUs will not be awarded unless payment is made. A payment voucher is available to print and will also be emailed to the attendee.

f. How does the attendee know if the sponsor has paid the fee or if they need to pay the fee? The attendee will be notified of this in the email that they receive.

g. If the attendee is having payment problems, who do they contact? The attendee contacts the SCR helpdesk. SCR helpdesk contact information is on the bottom of each screen in the SCR.

8. I received an email stating my SB-CEUs were uploaded but I do not see them on my account?

Please check the email received from the coordinator. It should list your email address in the body of the email. If the email address you created your account is different from the one listed in the body of the email, you will need to contact the coordinator and ask them to change the email address to match the one you created your account with. Once this has been changed by the coordinator, your account will show a link “Not Complete” for you to fill out the evaluation. Once you complete the evaluation, you will receive your SB-CEUs.

9. What about my SB-CEUs prior to January 1, 2010?

The programs prior to this date will not be recorded on this site but you will need to maintain your own paper copy or Certificates of Certification until you renew your certificate.
