The goals of the Michigan Association of Professors of Educational Administration are as follows:

* to serve as a vehicle to generate and share ideas about programs, curricula, and teaching methodologies of educational administration,
* to provide opportunities to learn amount and contribute to contemporary issues and policy initiatives from a variety of resources, including but not limited to: colleagues, fellow institutions of higher education, local, state and federal agencies, business and community entities,

The purpose of the Michigan ASCD Web site is to provide information and awareness about Michigan ASCD; to create a forum for educators to discuss, become knowledgeable about, and conduct research on educational topics; to post professional development and growth opportunities available through the organization; to identify promising and effective educational practices, practitioners, programs & resources in Michigan; and to identify legislation affecting Michigan (and national) education.

The Michigan Association of State and Federal Program Specialists exists to organize, unify, and nourish an alliance of individuals and organizations concerned with Compensatory Education by:
* Facilitating communication among members
* Discussing, proposing and taking action on matters of common interest and concern
* Conducting programs to enhance the professional competence and status of members
* Participating in the development and enactment of state and federal legislation affecting education

 Even before statehood, Michigan was a leader in public education. In 1809 judicial districts created schools and levied taxes to support them. Twenty years later, The Territorial Council divided the districts into school districts and gave the State the right to supervise schools.

Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) assesses students in grades 3-9 based on Michigan Curriculum Framework.

Our mission is to make Michigan's communities better places to learn and live by defining, developing and deploying outstanding and inspirational local public leadership.

We provide leadership services for K-12 school districts, intermediate school districts, colleges, and other local public sector organizations interested in developing or seeking outstanding leaders.

Michigan School Business Officials was founded in 1937 as a nonprofit corporation to serve the multifaceted interests of education.
